What is your treatment approach?
- Just as everyone's individual goals and struggles are unique, your treatment plan will be uniquely yours and individualized for your needs. We will discuss your symptoms and areas for growth, focusing on achieving overall mental health by addressing medication management if needed (including education about the risks, benefits, alternatives of each medication), targets for physical health (including diet and exercise modification), and psychosocial environment optimization including stress reduction and therapy.
What services do you offer?
- Medication management
- Psychotherapy- Including the modalities of Interpersonal Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Family Therapy. If you have an existing therapist, I am happy to coordinate care with your therapist to insure a team-based approach to achieving mental wellness.
What can I expect?
- Once receiving your request for treatment (either by phone, email or website), I will have a brief phone discussion with you to discuss your needs. I see patients for an initial in-person 60-90 minute evaluation session, depending on the needs of the individual. Some patients will benefit from medication management beginning at the completion of the first session, while others may require additional evaluation time (for example, to obtain additional medication history from previous psychiatrists, or collateral information from family/friends/therapists as desired by the patient). This initial evaluation is an opportunity for you and I to determine if I am a good fit for providing your psychiatric care.
